About

Our Story

Carey Forrestdale opened its doors in 2016, expanding Carey’s educational excellence across two campuses. Just over 100 students from Kindergarten to Year 4 commenced in Forrestdale’s inaugural year and the excitement was contagious as they, together with their parents, stepped into brand new, state-of-the-art classrooms, warmly welcomed by their teachers. Since then, a wonderful sense of community amongst the families has developed – a sense of community that will continue to grow as the campus develops.

The growing campus currently offers Kindergarten to Year 6, with the Secondary School launching in 2019, subject to the approval of the Director General of the Department of Education. Commencing with Year 7 in 2019, the campus will continue to grow each year to eventually offer Kindergarten to Year 12.

A Growing Community

Located on 23 hectares, the Forrestdale Campus has commenced with state-of-the-art Primary School classrooms. It will continue to provide innovative learning spaces as it expands to offer a comprehensive Kindergarten to Year 12 education.

The campus currently includes:

  • Large classrooms, with lots of natural light.
  • Interactive e-boards in each classroom, with additional access to technology for all students
  • Specialised early learning classrooms offering generous play areas
  • Expansive hallways and verandahs providing open and flexible learning and play spaces. Our site has been strategically utilised to offer students wide open places to play and learn, with the provision of a sizeable playing field with an innovative played, oval and a large gated area with a specialised playground for our youngest students.

In addition to the current facilities, attractive and purpose-built portable classrooms are available onsite.

As we commence the Secondary School in 2019, our team of experienced staff are working closely with our architects to ensure that innovative, creative and well-resourced teaching and learning areas will be provided for the students. The Forrestdale site will continue to allow for the development of large playing fields, bush and open spaces, together with the development of the wetlands which lie at the front of the school. This, together with exceptional educators will ensure a strong and dynamic learning experience for all students.

The campus is also home to Carey Baptist Church Forrestdale and Jump Out of School Hours Care (OSHC).
